Daily Success Starter (DSS): paragraph writing (see DSS slides).
Lesson 1: I reviewed mood & tone in depth with a brief video (See my YouTube playlist). We completed literary analysis #2 practicing the ACE strategy.
Transition Activity (TA): Copy DLP#4 exactly as it appears and make corrections using the proofreading marks.
Lesson 2: (Vocabulary) We read and discuss “Why Study Roots Words.” Then we completed the exercises on pages 1-14 of the Word Analysis packet. You will need to see me for a copy of each of these.
Closing activity: Literary terms- you will define your assigned literary term and enter it into the class document. You will also provide an example and then illustrate it on a piece of white paper for the classroom.
