Assignments: Iliad test on Monday.
At the beginning of 2nd and 4th periods I checked daily assignment sheets (1st period is not required to complete one). Then we completed the unit 6 vocabulary test. I asked students to work on completing their composition packets once they finished the test. We only had the last 2 pages left, which involved proofreading and presenting. Finally, students completed a 30-45 minute (Depending on the class) timed writing where they responded to one of the following prompts:
Iliad writing prompt: making connections to the modern world
I asked students to use their best writing including complete sentences, well-developed paragraphs, and essay format. I emphasized that essays needed to be more than one paragraph and should include details related to the text.
