Daily Success Starter (DSS): #16- vocabulary and prompt before reading “The Monkey’s Paw.”. (see DSS slides).
Lesson 1: (literature) We read “The Monkey’s Paw” and worked on RRJ #4. I played a recorded version of the story for individuals to listen as they read along. Find it on the short story page or my Youtube playlist.
Transition Activity (TA): DLP #9
Lesson 2: (writing) We finished lesson 2.2 with p 59 determine a topic. We began lesson 2.3-2.5 prewriting. We completed p 61 JW and p 61 explore your topic (see me to find out if we went any further). Make sure you are labeling your work correctly as this will all be collected together for a grade.
Closing activity: (vocabulary) Students worked independently on day one of the vocabulary review activities. I will explain day two tomorrow in class.
